The site of this garden in the middle of the Netherlands was originally a forest. The owner is from Japan and she designed the garden herself as well as taking on a large part of the execution. She opted for lots of evergreen trees and shrubs. A wide selection of conifers was planted, interspersed with groups of rhododendrons. A number of macro bonsai trees were selected to create the ultimate Japanese mood. According to our garden photographer, it resulted in the most beautiful Japanese garden he had ever seen!
